Our story
A small studio in Mauritius
Terrapots began in Mauritius with a simple love of quiet, well-made objects — the kind that sit calmly on a shelf and last for years.
Every piece is cast by hand from plaster, one pour at a time. We mix, pour, de-mould, sand and seal each object ourselves, then style and photograph it in our studio. It’s slow, hands-on work, and that’s the point: it lets us care about the details that make a piece feel considered rather than mass-produced.
Because everything is made to order and finished by hand, no two pieces are identical. A faceted pot might catch the light a little differently; a ribbed vase may carry the faintest line from its mould. We see these small variations not as flaws but as proof that a real person made the thing you’re holding.
We make in small batches from our studio in Mauritius, and our pieces are sold through local stockists — starting with Flirty Flowers — so you can see them in person before they find a home with you. Thank you for letting a little of our work into yours.
